Now when the ‘BETA VERSION’ dropped I couldn't wait to get a copy because by then I was a huge SYNIK fan. I felt it bore true testament to SYNIK’S lyrical prowess and creativity without any question however the only thing I felt missing from it was that producer, emcee chemistry. The content was on point but I felt some of the beats failed to express the emotion behind some of the tracks. Progress is not an event but it’s a process and I must say SYNIK has grown from strength to strength.
When I got my copy of SYN CITY I listened to it without skipping a track why, because it was dope. It had everything I was looking for, lyrical skill and solid content, varying moods and the much needed producer, emcee chemistry.
It was an honest depiction of life in Harare all in all it was a solid project and easy to listen to. It was a fusion of all the right energies coming together and working towards one goal which was making the project a success with BEGOTTEN SUN, RUFARO DHLIWAYO and ENQORE working tirelessly behind the scenes to make the project epic they pushed the envelope further by dropping Zim’s first 3D music video. SYN CITY is definitely an album we shall be banging 10 years from now, its a certified classic.
CARL JOSHUA NCUBE, has made history by being the first solo comedy act from Zimbabwe to go on a world tour. After having covered countries such as Zambia, Botswana, Uganda he is fast gaining momentum.
However what I find so hard to believe is the lack of support the Zimbabwean corporate sector has shown, here is someone who is flying our flag high, making history and the corporate sector has decided to fold its arms and watch, a wasted opportunity in my opinion, despite the cold response carl’s team has miraculously managed to make it through, however assistance is still needed none the less.
Carl has so far secured 8 stand up appearances at the PARKERS COMEDY CLUB, N.B PARKERS COMEDY CLUB IS A BIG COMEDY CLUB IN SOUTH AFRICA, which once again, is a huge feat as he is set to perfrom for the first time without having gone for auditions.
Production houses such as Podium Comedy Merchants who have helped to develop the careers of other comedians such as Trevor Noah, Eugene Khoza and Loyiso Gola are keen on establishing a DVD production deal with Carl.
What Carl and the Loose Cannon Multimedia team have achieved so far together is amazing, we say KEEP IT UP AND KEEP GOING with EUROPE, AMERICA, ASIA, AUSTRALIA and the rest of AFRICA still waiting for his arrival we say continue to fly our flag high. resolve inbetween moments of doubt
by Barbra Breezy Anderson
l randomly grasp at ideas
That soon float away.
What makes a man jeer
At a woman passing by?
What makes institutions meant to keep the order,
Abuse and distort power?
Why is every institution set up
From the beginning of time
Only beneficial for men?
The marriage,
the church,
Politics
and society as a whole
I choose to rebel
I choose to defy order
For in order lies unmistakable abuse.
In controversy lies truth.
Control is an unmistakable burden,
At birth
Wear pink.
At age 5 submit to men,
Kneel,
Clap
And give obeisance
When I call out and
Demand back African culture,
I call the one without unscrupulous
Laws and guidelines.
I call for its reinvention.
I can never attain the full extent of freedom,
For that is a lie set up,
To console our dejected minds
But I call for my own extent of freedom.
I shall not be under you but beside you
Forget that I shall give you obeisance
I shall love you only.
if you wish for respect earn it.
I am a woman of integrity
Raised under an oppressive way of thought
But my shackles I will soon remove.
My thoughts flit-a-flutter
in-between moments of doubts
But doubt is acceptable for my resolve is strong.
That soon float away.

SYNIK,is one of the most hard working and revered mcs in local hip hop circles, I recently got a hold of his single, God Within, a track with hope, life and encouragement.A classic in my book, check this verse out;
So even when they scar your skin
Best believe you got a little bit of God within
This game of life, some saying that it's hard to win
But just believe you got a little bit of God within
He breathed in clay,no matter what the people say
I've been surviving but I'm trying to live today
I open up my heart so I can touch a dream
That's how I know I got a little bit of God Within
I wonder if you realize that you're an infinite being
Coz if you did then you wouldn't ever limit your dreams
Remember, no matter however the physical seems
It can't keep you down just because your spirit has wings
Take development of self as a serious thing
Time's moving, there's no rewinding to a previous scene
Success is in your will it's not embedded in genes
So plan your work and work your plan by definitive schemes
I love my job, in every verse I be speaking to kings
Who could go and change the world if they were given the means
Don't sell your destiny for soup like the weaker of twins
And don't try imitating what you see on the screens
But be the warmth that transforms the winter to spring
And be the source of the change that you dream to be seen
Keep your train of thought moving, readings the steam
Surround yourself with positivity and feed your esteem.....

This is a page dedicated to quotes and other written works from artists we feel deserve the public's attention.
The following is an excerpt from a renouned Zimbabwean poet who is based in New Zealand named Kiva LaDiva.
The poem is titled AFRICA:
Are the words you utter with that accent ... Africa
Is your behaviour, attitude, morals ... Africa
Is that dressing / your “look” ... Africa
Is your heart beating for Africa ... are you proud of it
Do you have hope in Africa?
Sunrise to sunset, Africa slips away
I don’t know my mother’s tongue
I have never felt the texture of red dirt between my toes
I have never danced to the drums, ululating, celebrating the ancestors. I have never kneeled before my father,
covered my body, treated it like a temple,
walked gracefully with calabashes on my head,
appreciated the twang of that guitar and the way mbira sound,
fought for the struggle and voted for change in my homeland!
I just criticized the situation, comforted by being overseas
Glad to have a new passport, no more worries about visas
Made fun of the millions and trillions they making
Breaking their backs but still ends don’t meet. Zvakapressa muviri wese. Maiwee! My people have not only rejected me, but they have forsaken themselves I’ve been walking barefoot over dunes of broken glass
Beacause I handed my shoes over to their empty words
Why pretend to cry for Africa, brothers and sisters
when we don’t uplift and respect one another
We let corruption escalate and the blood of the innocent
seep into the soil, rendering it infertile, promoting negative aurae Busy climbing the ladder, stomping over eachother, losing our culture, Avoiding eachother just to cling onto our false sense of sanity Because we are drugged up, oversexed and fake
Why pretend to cry for Africa
When we have exploited, abandoned and stripped her ... of her glory
Is Africa the land ... or the people?
I see my brothers and sisters out there
Waiting to stab my back ceaselessly.
